# TAKO and AI agent production conversation

These excerpts show the decisions that changed the meaning of the work between TAKE 1 and later takes. The wording has been lightly edited for readability.

## 1. Build the cause and effect: “Shh” from a distance, then approach

### TAKO

> This is quite far off. Let’s talk first. Did you check the character ledger for Attachment 1? Attachment 2 has a completely different mood from the storyboard. TAKO is supposed to watch secretly from far away and signal “Shh,” right?
>
> In Attachment 3, he is gently holding the antler. That does not make sense. He intends to attack the deer, right? Then it should be “Shh” from far away, sneak closer, and chop.
>
> In Attachment 4, the antler has broken off, but the deer is calm. That ruins the gag. They need to face each other, both open-mouthed in surprise, and stop for a beat. Then TAKO says, “Sorry.”

### AI agent

The problem was identified as both a mismatch with the character ledger and missing cause and effect. The sequence was rebuilt as separate short moments: signal from a distance, sneak closer, attack, antler falls, both face each other in surprise, pause, apology.

## 2. From a chop to a stick, and from dialogue to retaliation

### TAKO

> The antler fell off, but it grew back. Instead of a chop, it would be better to hit the antler with a stick. Drop the hoe, use a stick, and give the antler one light tap so it falls off.
>
> Also, let’s remove the part where the deer talks. TAKO says, “Sorry.” The deer turns around and fires round pellets. They hit TAKO—clack, clack, clack—bounce off, and fall.

### AI agent

One-antler continuity became a mandatory condition, and the tool changed to a wooden stick. The deer’s dialogue was removed, and its silent retaliation followed TAKO’s apology.

## 3. Make the final gag brief and exact

### TAKO

> The final gag is the important part. If TAKO crouches here, it looks as if he is waiting for the pellets. The upright posture in Attachment 2 is right.
>
> The pellets do not reach him. Even though they do not arrive, they bounce back from TAKO’s side. That is far too rough. If the gag fails, we cannot use it.
>
> After the deer turns its rear toward TAKO, let it back up, get close, and fire. Keep it simple: bang, bang, bang into his face, then cut immediately. It is dragging right now.

### AI agent

The QA rules became explicit: TAKO remains upright; the deer backs toward him; there are exactly three pellets, one moving at a time; all three hit his face; and the film ends immediately after the third hit. Because generation alone could not stabilize the count and contact points, character motion stayed generated while the three trajectories and impact sounds were built with deterministic editing.

## What this conversation taught us

It is difficult to communicate a private comic world that exists only in one person’s imagination. Patiently describing the parts that matter brought the result closer. Seeking perfect obedience to the first draft was less useful than protecting the essential idea while remaining flexible and consulting with the AI.
