# Story

This page keeps the rough text first given to the AI separate from the story completed through discussion, previews, and revisions. “Story” here means the opening film, Niji’s Theater Episode 1, “Cheer Up, Dad!” Part 1, not the entire tutorial.

## 1. An earlier short test: rescuing a sparrow

This is a faithful translation of the brief Japanese input used in the second production stage. Its unfinished phrasing is intentional.

```text
A cat (Ricchan) and a dog (Lulu-chan) live leisurely in the mountains.
NIJI (a knitted cat) appears there. (See NIJI登場.MP4.)
NIJI takes Ricchan and Lulu-chan to the vegetable garden.
There is a sparrow crouching there, unable to fly (a hand is visible in the photo, but
in the story the sparrow is in the garden, looking downcast.
Lulu-chan gently picks up the sparrow in his mouth, puts it on Ricchan's back,
and takes it home.
```

The test referred to an earlier still combining real pets and generated NIJI, a photo of the rescued sparrow, a photo of the family garden, and the NIJI entrance clip. The short video was reviewed while the rough story was read.

## 2. The text TAKO first gave to the AI agent for the finished film

This translates the original `ストーリー.md` from the film project. Only an internal project name and a personal local path have been redacted. The sparse scene directions have not been expanded into a finished script.

```text
[Internal production project name withheld]
For character design,
refer to [local character-reference folder].
Please make any missing characters in videotemp.
“At the end of the previous story,
Ricchan,
Lulu-kun,
NIJI,
and Suzu the sparrow
were walking away, seen from behind.”
This time, start by showing them from the front.
Everyone is smiling.
They smile at each other.
I also want a close-up of that.
When they get home,
Tako-san is crying by the garden next to the house.
Lulu rubs against him.
Tako-san strokes Lulu's head with his right hand
and points with his left.
There is the ruined garden.
The crops are broken.
Tako-san, shoulders drooping, goes home with the four animals.
At home,
Tako-tsuma and Tako-ko are cooking.
There is steam and a warm feeling.
Seeing Tako, his wife comforts him.
Tako-ko comforts Suzu; Suzu smiles.
(Suzu got lost today. The other three helped her, so it is her first time in our home.)
Everyone eats together.
===================================
This is a warm story. Please keep that feeling.
Give it enough time. Do not squeeze it into a short duration.
```

### How the text connected to materials

- Photos and videos of the pets and character references guided Ricchan, Lulu, NIJI, and the others. The original personal photos are not published here.
- Real photos of the deer-damaged vegetable garden grounded the event that upset Tako-san.
- The photo of the rescued sparrow grounded Suzu's real-life inspiration. A hand or phone display in a source photo was not part of the story setting.
- “Everyone eats together” was the initial endpoint. Meal details and the later meeting were developed after review.

## 3. The continuation TAKO supplied later

After reviewing the first video, TAKO added `ストーリー2.md` for the four animals' meeting. The following is a faithful translation of that draft. References to existing franchises document the historical creative request; they do not grant permission to publish the reference images.

```text
Continue with everyone eating together around the pot.
After the meal, everyone puts their hands together.
Tako-san: I'm going to bed now.
Wife: All right. Good night.
Everyone: Bye-bye.
Lulu-kun, Ricchan, NIJI, and Suzu
sit on cushions on the wooden floor and whisper together.
Lulu: The deer is troubling Dad.
Ricchan: It is.
NIJI: Could we do something?
Lulu: There might be something in Dad's favorite books.
(They bring manga books of Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer.)
Lulu reads Attack on Titan; Ricchan reads Demon Slayer.
The clock turns. One hour passes. Crickets chirp.
Lulu: Maybe I'll fight it. A fluffy cloud appears for his fantasy.
Ricchan: Maybe I'll fight it. A fluffy cloud appears for her fantasy.
NIJI: Deer are big. Are you sure?
Lulu: I dedicate my heart. [ルル心臓をささげる.png] Cloud fantasy [進撃の巨人の心臓をささげよ.png]
NIJI: When will we do it?
Lulu: Let's go now.
Suzu: I can't see at night.
NIJI: It's all right. Hold on to me.
## 4. The completed story after discussion with the AI agent
### Scope
The approved Japanese opening film runs about 10 minutes 14 seconds; the English film runs about 10 minutes 02 seconds. Each includes the main story, ending, a bonus section about the real events, and a postscript. These are not the lengths of the full tutorials.
### Story
Ricchan, Lulu, NIJI, and Suzu return to find Dad upset because deer have damaged the garden he tended. The animals care for him and go into the warm house, where the family shares dinner. After Dad goes to rest, the four gather on cushions for a secret meeting. They wonder how to face a deer much larger than themselves, read manga, and imagine brave action, while the film keeps their cuteness and gentle storybook tone. The first part ends with a promise of a continuation. After the ending song, a bonus section shows the real rescued sparrow, the garden, and night footage of deer, followed by a postscript.
### Decisions made along the way
- The first draft aimed for a gentle world. A short video was reviewed before details through the family meal were added in conversation with the AI.
- The second draft added the four-animal meeting. Reference images helped test whether sitting or running on two legs could still look cute.
- Rather than force natural lip-sync for every character or fast action, the team chose a storybook narration, like a mother reading and acting out all the parts. A line was also added after a generated scene moved a character's mouth.
- Faces, feet, lighting, contact with the ground, pronunciation, captions, and sound provenance were reviewed. Copyright and similarity checks on franchise-inspired material remain human publication decisions.
